Best Man Gifts

You’ve picked your best man and he’s someone that means the world to you. He’s your brother in arms that stuck with you through bad times and good times. And now he’s going to be there for you during this special moment in your life. A best man will have a few essential duties before, during and after the wedding. Depending on how involved you want him to be, he will perform many of these tasks:

  • Help with logistics, such as travel and accommodation for other groomsmen
  • Plan your bachelor party and make sure it goes smoothly
  • Give the wedding speech
  • Keep the other groomsmen on top of their duties
  • Help you pick out your attire and help you dress on the day of
  • Keep track of wedding rings and marriage license
  • Sign the license as a witness

There are many other little tasks that a best man might do. So, it’s only natural that you’d want to get him something really special - something that will set him apart from the other groomsmen. Many grooms spend a little more on gifts for the two dads (theirs and their fiancée’s) as well as on the best man. Not too much more. Maybe 10-20% more than they spend on the rest of the groomsmen. If you’re not sure what kind of gift to get your best man and the rest of the party, you can check out our Best Groomsmen Gifts Ever post for some great ideas and inspiration. And if you’re not sure how much to spend on gifts, we have a guide for that too.
